Kerala High Court Exam Pattern
The Kerala High Court Judicial service exam consists of 2 patterns prelims and mains. We are mentioning here the exam pattern of both prelims and mains examination. The student must check the exam pattern as it helps them to understand the topics and subject which come in the exam.
Consist of one paper of objective type.
Having 100 questions each of 2 marks
Negative Marking: plenty of 1 marks for each wrong answer
Duration: 2 ½
Written Examination: Consist of 4 papers each of 100 marks at a total of 400 marks.
Viva-Voce: Maximum marks for viva-voce shall be 50. Only those candidates who are shortlisted as per the above exam (written) will be called for viva-voce. The cut-off marks in the viva voce are fixed at 40% for general and OBC candidates and 35% for candidates belonging to ST and SC.

Kerala High Court Selection Process
Those candidates who qualify the both the exams Prelims and Mains will be considered as the final selection of that candidate.
The eligibility criteria for Kerala High Court Judicial Service Examination is mentioned below:
Those candidates who are applying must have a degree (Law) which is recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrollment as an advocate.
A candidate for appointment as Munsiff Magistrate by direct recruitment shall satisfy the following criteria:
Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Must consist of a degree in Law which is recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrollment as an Advocate.
Not completed 35 years of age on the 1st Jan 2020.
Age relaxation is upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC or adult members of such castes and their children when such adult members are converted to other religions or ST and by 3 years in case the candidates belonging to any other backward classes.
Must have good nature and shall be of sound health having no bodily infirmities, which render him/ her unfit for an appointment.
Recruitment by Transfer:
For the purpose of enrolment as an advocate and is an approved probationer in any one or more of the feeder categories, the candidate must have the appointment as Munsiff-Magistrate by transfer unless he/ she is a holder of a degree in law recognized by the Bar Council of India
A person who is qualified for appointment by transfer but is not holding any of the posts enumerated below at the time of his application for appointment by transfer.
Eligible for an appointment if he has held any one or more of such posts at any time for the prescribed number of years and is holding a higher scale of pay post in any of the offices from which appointment is to be made.
