Indian Army TGC Selection Process: As already mentioned in our previous post that there is no entrance exam has been conducted for the recruitment of TGC. The selection of candidates is done via two processes i.e. Shortlisting of Applications and their medical examination.

Army TGC Selection Procedure
The selection process of Indian Army TGC is as follows:
Shortlisting of Applications
Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) consists of the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage marks for each Engineering discipline/ stream.
After the shortlisting of applications, the center allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After the allotment of the selection center, candidates will be allotted firm SSB dates by the system.
Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cut-off percentage will be interviewed at one of the selection centers via Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Kapurthala by Psychologist, Group testing officer, and interviewing officer.
Call letters will be issued by respective selection centers through candidates registered email id and SMS only.
Allotment of selection center is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ MoD (Army), and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard.
The selection of candidates will be done through a two-stage selection procedure. Those candidates who clear Stage 1 will go to Stage 2. But in case if the candidate fails in Stage 1 they need to return home on the same day.
Note: Those candidates who recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.
Indian Army TGC Medical Standards
No swellings including tumors/ cyst/ swollen lymph nodes anywhere on the body as well as no hyper or hypopigmentation or any other disease/ syndrome/ disability of the skin are there at the time of checking.
No hernia anywhere on the body
No hearing impairment, deformities/ disabilities in-ears vestibule-cochlear system.
No syndrome/ disease/ disability of any endocrinal system, reticuloendothelial system.
No disease/ syndrome/ disability of the throat, or any disease or injury palate tonsils or gums affecting the normal function of either mandibular joint.
No active, latent or congenital venerable disease.
There is no congenital or hereditary disease/ syndrome/ disability.
No impediment of Speech due to any etiology as well as no impairment of vision including color perception and field of vision.
The psychological examination will be carried out during the SSB selection procedure.
Rejection of Candidates Will Done on the Following Details Mentioned Below:
Musculoskeletal deformities of Spine, chest, and pelvis, limbs e.g. Scoliosis, torticollis, kyphosis, deformities of vertebrae, ribs, sternum, clavicle, other bones of the skeleton, mal-united fractures, deformed limbs, fingers, toe and congenital deformities of the spine.
Deformities of Limbs: Deformed limbs, toes, and fingers, deformed joints like cubitus valgus, cubitus varus, knock knees, shortened limbs.
Vision and Eye: lens, Astigmatism, Myopia, hypermetropia, squints, and ptosis, lesions of the cornea, retina.
Pathological (Incipient) conditions of the jaws which are known to be progressive or recurrent. All potentially cancerous conditions.
Loose teeth: More than 2 mobile teeth will render the candidate unfit.
Significant jaw discrepancies between upper and lower jaw which may hamper efficient mastication and or speech will be a cause of rejection.

Indian Army TGC Merit List
Qualifying the SSB round does not mean that candidate selection has been done. The Indian Army Merit List will we prepared as per the engineering stream/ subject wise on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB Interview.
Those whose name is under merit list and who come within the Stipulated streamwise vacancies, and are medically fit will be issued joining letters for pre-commissioning training at IMA Dehradun subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
